MJH was shining bright at camp this week! 🤩

Team Awards:
❤️💙🤍 The HERKI AWARD!!🏆
The NCA Herkie Team Award is the highest honor a cheerleading squad can receive at a National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) camp. It's named after L.R. Herkimer, the founder of NCA and known as the “father of modern cheerleading,” who also invented the popular "Herkie jump".
What it means:
It recognizes squads that demonstrate outstanding leadership, spirit, dedication, and a positive attitude throughout the camp.
It signifies a team that leads by example, encourages others, and embodies the values of teamwork, spirit, and hard work.
This award is not solely based on skills but also on character.
The award emphasizes the core values upon which the NCA was founded, which are leadership, values, and teamwork.
In essence, the Herkie Team Award recognizes a cheerleading squad that truly exemplifies the spirit and values of the National Cheerleaders Association.

❤️💙🤍ALL-AMERICAN STUNTING  nomination!
This is a HUGE accomplishment, bc the standard is across the board on this, and is high school level! (Full extension liberty with a full down dismount.) Needless to say, we were the ONLY team awarded this honor!

💚🖤🤍4 Spirit Sticks!
Our girls received the VERY FIRST spirit stick of the entire camp, and then turned around and received the FIRST one EVERY. SINGLE. DAY!! We were the ONLY team to receive one every day!!

💙🤍💙11 BLUE SUPERIOR RIBBONS!!!
They each earned individual ones for the game day cheer, and we earned three team ones for the Band chant, situational chant, and cheer!

❤️💙🤍 TECHNICAL EXCELLENCE award day two!!
For incorporating skills into our band chant & situational chant with “perfection” (according to our evaluation scores!)

❤️💙🤍 TECHNICAL EXCELLENCE award day 3!!
For our sharp & unified motion technique!

❤️💙🤍 The STAY SAFE stunting award!
This award recognizes teams that demonstrate a commitment to safe stunting techniques & practices!!

The All-American nominations are given by the NCA staff, and are based on a certain criteria! Our girls worked extremely hard as a team to help one another obtain our goal of everyone being nominated!!

❤️💙🤍PIN IT FORWARD:
Ava Lusk, 8th grade!
This is a very special award. Each of the 4 NCA staff members gets ONE pin to award to any camper that they feel has stepped up and been a leader to their peers. They look for characteristics going above and beyond setting good examples, working hard to learn new material, having great spirit, showing how passionate they are about cheer, is kind, and is always smiling! (Very well deserved!)

💚🖤🤍 MJH TEAM LEADERS 2025:
Brooklyn Landes, 8th
