Exciting news for May ISD! ☀️🌳
We are thrilled to announce that May ISD has been awarded a $25,000 grant from the Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) to create a brand-new, solar-powered outdoor learning space!
This project will transform an unused lot on our campus into a vibrant greenspace featuring:
• Solar Charging Hubs: Powering a new outdoor classroom and providing off-grid charging for devices.
• Improved Safety: Adding motion-activated lighting to previously unlit areas.
• ADA-Accessible Greenspace: Replacing 1,200 sq. ft. of asphalt with an irrigated, accessible area for all students.
• Emergency Resource: Serving as a backup power source for the community to charge communication devices during outages.
"This grant is a game-changer for May ISD," said Superintendent Chad Dail. "We are creating a unique, sustainable environment that enhances campus safety and provides innovative technology for our students and staff."
A huge thank you to LCRA for investing in our schools and our future! 🐯✨

Today, we celebrate our Principals! Their work and dedication is appreciated so much! They were each presented with coolers to kick start their summer break. Thank you, Mrs Williams for 30+ years of service to May ISD and to Mr Reddin for choosing May as your greatest adventure.

May FCA is grateful for the continuous support of our breakfast sponsors who serve the FCA students of May ISD! Without their support, we would not be able to have a meal each Friday of the year. We appreciate you!! 💚

Our boys and their dads or helpers created bird feeders this morning. We want to show gratitude to Star Sales, Vaughn Avenue Cabinetry for donating materials, time, and expertise. We would also like to thank Joey McKenzie, Jennifer Hardy, Kim Rutherford, Kay Ribble, and many Junior High and High School young men for helping us set up and filling in for parents who couldn't be here!

📣Good Luck to our athletes headed to the Regional Track Meet!

Full circle moments ❤️
Today our seniors walked the halls one more time—this time hand in hand with the kindergarteners who are just beginning their journey. From little backpacks to big dreams, it’s a reminder of how far they’ve come and the legacy they leave behind.
